RUGBY LEAGUE – THE MOVIE/TV SERIES

A young player from Cooma - Fred Wilkins - is recruited by the formerly gloriouis
Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs. It is the year 2349, and the Bulldogs comfortably
sit down the bottom of 5th division, the lowest division in the league. 'At least they're
not as bad as Cronulla,' says Fred to his Cooma Stallions team-maters. Cronulla
are notoriously wooden spooners of the overall competition. Fred heats things up at
the Bulldogs. They have a training session each month - a very controversial idea
for the lacklustre Belmore team. Life after all is beer, barbecues and beer, and training
will just not do. But he gets the farts out every month, and for 15 solid hard minutes they
walk around the oval and do some stretches. Amazing stuff. So amazing that they win 14
games in the new season, and sneak up a division, the first time in over 50 years. What will
they do next? Meanwhile, the dreaded Alice Springs Aliens, top of first division, have their
eye on the ambitious Fred. They offer him a contract, but he tells them he's a faithful dog.
'You'll regret it,' says Shawn Chemberlin. The dogs start the season well - they win their
first three games, and then with a new coach, Alan Lamb, they start to train twice a month,
even more controversial, and by seasons end they are up to 3rd division. They continue
at it, sneak up to second the following year, and by years end, when its clear they are
headed for the big time, and TV coverage, plots are under way from the Aliens to take out
Wilkins. But through trial and struggle, and buying a manual on how to play the game, the
Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs win first division grand final in the year 2353, and everyone
is 'AMAZED.'

Years pass by.

The Bulldogs have been the lowest performing team for ages. It is now the year 2552.

The Bulldogs had a revival in the 24th century, but that was years ago. Again, they are shit.

Jonny Wilkins is the coach, descended from legendary bulldog star Fred Wilkins. They are again

at the bottom of 5th division, looking pathetic. The old manual, which they bothered to buy once, is

pretty worn torn. Jonny is with his wife, and she says to him. 'Funny. Why don't you buy a new

copy of that shitty manual. Nobody cares that much anymore. If you guys even bother to try you

can go all the way to win first division.' Jonny is at Catholic Church and Jesus appears to him in a

dream and says 'You may as well try a little bit. Couldn't hurt.' Jonny decides to bother. People

suffer from Quiet Quitting in the 26th century. They only put in the basic efforts with their jobs, mainly

liking recreation. When someone bothers to put in an effort they usually succeed.

They recruit some new stars.  An ex-NFL player at the end of

his career, a forward (Big guy from Nerds) who is nicknamed

Wild Dog.  A spanish import, who is actually very good.  (Enrique).

Wild Dog is a wild player and goes wild.  At the pub when they are

chatting with ladies Enrique has two ladies on his arms and he asks

them if they do it doggy style.  When the opposing team is at the same

pub mocking the bulldogs, Wild Dog says let me at them, but they

hold him back.  Possibly also a Kiwi and British import for the team.

The song 'Wild Thing' by Tone Loc is modified for 'Wild Dog'. The dogs, now having

put in their recruitment effort with actual decent money, put some effort in at training again.

But the Wests Tigers are watching them at their training, and decide to compete a bit. Wests

and Bulldogs fight from 5th division each year rising up to first division. It's a rivaly in this

second season of Rugby League tv SERIES.
