Unitarian
Scientologists of Jehovah
An
Assembly of Faith (AOF) of the Advancing Noah Movement (ANM)
About
Us
The
Unitarian Scientologists of Jehovah are not, strictly speaking,
Scientologists of the Church of Scientology. We are a Noahide
movement, based on the Rainbow Covenant of Noah (Genesis 9:1-17), who
also appreciate the writings and talents of L Ron Hubbard and find
value and merit in a great deal of his spiritual writings. We do not
affirm the core beliefs of origins of the Church of Scientology,
affirming instead the belief in Creationism by Jehovah God in 7 Days.
The Rainbow Torah of Genesis 1 – 11:9 is the fundamental
Noahide Scripture we use as the Divine basis of our religion YET we
draw from Scientology in general for our spiritual practices and
sense of ethical behaviours. Again, we are not scientologists in the
original sense, yet we are those who favour the religion of
scientology, enjoy its teachings, but are based on creation origins
of Jehovah and Genesis 1 – 11:9. We also read the 'Battleground
Eternity' saga which is part of the fictional spiritual writings for
the community.
Beliefs
One
God
Jehovah
the Almighty. While the Church of Scientology states that it has no
set dogma on God and allows individuals to come to their own
understanding of God, Unitarian Scientologists of Jehovah instead
affirm the existence of God and belief in his Creation. In our faith,
"vastly more emphasis is given to the godlike nature of the
person and to the workings of the human mind than to the nature of
God." Scientologists believe in an "Infinity" ("the
All-ness of All"). They recite a formal prayer for total freedom
at meetings, which include the verses “May the author of the
universe enable all men to reach an understanding of their spiritual
nature. May awareness and understanding of life expand, so that all
may come to know the author of the universe. And may others also
reach this understanding which brings Total Freedom….Freedom
from war, and poverty, and want; freedom to be; freedom to do and
freedom to have. Freedom to use and understand Man's potential -- a
potential that is God-given and Godlike." The prayer commences
with "May God let it be so.”
Scripture
Genesis
1 – 11:9 (The Rainbow Torah) as the basis of our divine
observances.
The
Bridge to Total Freedom
The
Bridge to Total Freedom is the means by which Scientologists
undertake personal life development. The bridge has two sides.
Processing is the actual practice of "auditing" which
directs questions towards areas of travail in a person's life to get
rid of unwanted barriers that inhibit, stop or blunt a person's
natural abilities as well as gradiently increasing the abilities a
person has so that he becomes more able and his survival, happiness
and intelligence increase enormously.
Morals
and ethics
We
teach that progress on The Bridge requires and enables the attainment
of high moral and ethical standards. The main text on ethics is the
book Introduction to Scientology Ethics
Scientology
uses the term "morals" to refer to a collectively agreed
code of good conduct and defines ethics as "the actions an
individual takes on himself in order to accomplish optimum survival
for himself and others on all dynamics (eight drives in life from
self to family to groups to mankind, etc.) Scientology stresses the
rationality of ethics over morals: "Ethics actually consists of
rationality toward the highest level of survival."; "If a
moral code were thoroughly reasonable, it could, at the same time, be
considered thoroughly ethical. But only at this highest level could
the two be called the same".
Scientologists
also follow a series of behavior codes, these are: Auditor Code,
Supervisor's Code, Code of Honor and the Code of a
Scientologist.
Hubbard
said that "the purpose of ethics is to remove counter-intentions
from the environment. Having accomplished that, the purpose becomes
to remove other intentionedness from the environment", meaning
to work towards higher levels of survival for oneself and one's
family, groups etc. in order to achieve new levels of happiness and
success for oneself and others.
ARC
and KRC triangle
The
ARC and KRC triangles are concept maps which show a relationship
among three concepts to form another concept. These two triangles are
present in the Scientology logo.
The
ARC triangle is a summary representation of the knowledge the
Scientologist strives for. It combines three components: "Affinity"
is the degree of affection, love or liking, i.e. an emotional
state.[7] "Reality" reflects consensual reality, that is
agreements on what is real."Communication", believed to be
the most important element of the triangle, is the exchange of ideas.
Scientologists believe that improving one of the three aspects of the
ARC triangle "increases the level" of the other two but the
most important aspect of this triangle is "communication"
mainly because communication drives the other two aspects: "affinity"
and "reality".Scientologists believe that ineffective
communication is a chief cause of human survival problems, and this
is reflected by efforts at all levels within the movement to ensure
clear communication, the presence of unabridged standard dictionaries
for example.
Afterlife
In
Scientology the human body is regarded as similar to that of other
religions in that the spirit will then leave the body. "Life and
personality go on. The physical part of the organism ceases to
function."
Science
We
consider ourselves scientific. We believe that “all religious
claims can be verified through experimentation”
DOCTRINES
The
Creator
The
Creator Lives. The Creator Loves. The Creator has a life of his own.
The Creator enjoys the life of his own. God works in mankind. God
works wonders in mankind. Many receive, perceive and appreciate those
wonders, and some are jaded, disinterested or only apathetic about
this. The Creator is Yahweh El Shaddai. He has a mind infinite, and
knows a lot of stuff. The Creator made men – in his image –
and gave them a life purpose. The Creator blessed Job, and gave him
offspring, long life and vast possessions at the end of his
suffering. One of the purposes, thus, the Creator has for your life
is those prosperity ideas. So, the Creator usually has a plan for
lives that accept him and draw close to him. Strive for success in
life if you want it – striving is how it is achieved. The
mediocre approach gives the mediocre result. For some that's enough.
For some they just want more out of life. The Creator has his wisdom,
and it shines in the design of his creation, yourself included. And
his moral rule is found in Torah, the guide for life. The Advancing
Noah Movement and the Cherubim Torah community seek the influence of
the Creator in their lives to guide and judge them, and to teach and
inspire them. To the Creator be the glory, Alleluia, AMEN.
ARC
at Work
Realistically
we often serve ourselves as our priority. Human survival. God wired
up our system to make sure it takes care of itself. So hypocrisy is
denying the fundamental nature of a person to take care of itself,
when we esteem so called noble notions of self-sacrifice for the poor
and the greater good. It's certainly humble, but equally stupid and
pious pretend humility. Be real. Let the facts of nature the way you
are designed speak for themselves. Ensure you take care of number one
– because that is your chief responsibility to take care of
your life. If you don't look after yourself, who will? But we live in
community also, and our hearts do care, so to show that care and
genuine altruism which is part of your makeup, we need to be clear
about how we represent to others, what we can offer them and what we
hope to gain from them. You know where you are standing with people
when you keep communication channels open and real. If you know you
should not be so greedy, people won't miss this either. So if your
conscience is bothering you about your hoarding desire or coveting of
all the lovely houses and properties in the world, get real, serve
God, and earn your fair share of things. Be honest with God about
what you want in life and ask God to be honest with you about how you
can achieve this. Be real with God. And if you like that love which
you find inside from time to time, let it show, in genuine honesty
about what you will commit to, and are happy to commit to, for
service for God and mankind. You probably want the world to be a
better place. Most of us do. And in reality you are probably willing
to do some community work to help things. Just be real – and
the more real you are about it, the more you will gravitate to the
eternal standard you will eventually gravitate to in time anyway. So
be honest with God, be honest with your fellow man, and be honest
with your own heart in just what you want for yourself and from
others, and exactly what kind of altruistic love you can bestow upon
humanity.
God
Wears Denominational Hats
God
wears a different hat for a different denomination of monotheism. He
relates to that denomination with the religioius knowledge and rights
of creative product and discussion and prayer which that denomination
has built up over history. In this sense God has a hat for the
Karaite Noahide community. The way God relates to us is with the
ancient traditional knowledge of the community of mankind from Adam
through to Noah's grand-sons of the table of nations of genesis 10
for the most part, and with the new knowledge and built up history of
our modern existence. Karaite Judaism has a bigger relation with God.
Catholicism has a huge one because they have over a billion citizens
many of whom pray to God. The entire corpus of the essential worth of
a denomination in terms of its cultural and spiritual legacy is how
much God honours and relates and teaches such a denomination. It is
also true for how he judges religions and belief systems in general
Even atheism has a life with the things created and done in the name
of atheism. Further, it appears God wears a hat for each division of
the ANM which is part of Karaite Noahidism. The Unitarian
Scientologists of Jehovah have their own aspect and knowledge and way
in which God relates to us and teaches us. The ANM Rainbow Bible is
the rights of all denominations of the ANM, but as a denomination we
are segmented thereafter in the divine fellowships and the assemblies
of faith. In this sense God relates to USOJ as the God of the USOJ.
Our knowledge of God is our own and our own particular spiritual
world which we find life, meaning and support from.
Jehovah
Cares if We Care
God
prospers people if they serve him. But he doesn't feed all the poor
of the world himself, does he? if people don't give a damn he lets
them die out. God is a caring God - but about the righteous and those
with a decent attitude. There are sins in life, and sins lead to
degradation of life and eventually poverty and death. If you'll
repent God will step in and get you focused on prosperity again. God
gives a damn about people who want to make something of their lives
and be useful and productive citizens. If you want to be a member of
your community and society with a good reputation and be valuable to
the world, God takes notes, and has concern for you. There is nobody
in the world God does not notice, but there is nobody in the world
who is above the law. If you have a poor attitude and don't care and
have given up on life and don't want to work it out with society and
the world, in the end we really make the bed ourself we end up lying
in. Drug use, gambling, sexual depravity, alcoholism, abuse in
general and crime, core reasons why some people end up on the streets
and no longer care much about life and making a go of it. In the end
there are very few people who want a go in life and are prepared to
make something better of their situation who won't be given a chance
by God. And he is forgiving. God is there for you. And even when you
are down and out God still cares.. God cares if a person is cold.
He'll give them clothing. God cares if a person is hungry. He'll feed
them. God cares if a person is homeless. He'll shelter them. And if
that person starts caring, God will care for them and about them. But
sin is the road so many tread, and at a point they've often given up,
and just want a break at times more than anything, resigned to life
on the streets, the bottle or the syringe when they can get it, and a
dead end tunnel from which there is no way back – because
they've chosen to not go back to the way of life which runs the
world. Jehovah cares. But if you don't, in the end he won't
either.
Pastoral
Auditing
The
human mind is a complex design of Jehvoah's. In the 21st century we
have advanced further still in our knowledge of how differing
sections of the brain work and how it all fits together. But our
perceptions of reality and how we think and believe from our own
thoughts can be controlled by us. And there are things we can do in
life which help us and heal us. Auditing is one of them. Encounters
in lfie can be traumatic at times. But this is the reality of a
dramatic life which is full of so many passions from members of our
family, society and often our own unlearned thoughts. When we go
through these traumas often they leave scars. Memories which we don't
really want to revisit and which can annoy us. The auditing process
is a process to clear these traumas to find better strength in life.
Why they are exposed – our memories of difficult things –
is because human wisdom teaches us that when we talk about things and
confront our fears, and learn that others experience these things and
we are not alone, we draw strength and courage from facing up to
these traumas and difficult aspects of life. Auditing is about facing
your fears with qualified pastoral counsellors who can sensitively
guide you to talk about your skeletons and dark secrets and neurotic
and guilty experiences, face them, confess them in many cases, and
resolve to be stronger having faced those fears. You've got to do it.
You won't really conquer the things you can do in life – you
won't use so many of your God given talens because of these anxieties
– unless you confront them and put them in their place and let
them know you are in control of your life and not your past history.
The auditing of scientology is really just old fashioned wisdom. And
it is wisdom which works. I know this from my own experiences in
lfie. It can take time. Healing takes time. But fight the good fight
of the faith and you will become a little stronger every day. Learn
to face up to it and after a while the pain and sadness can diminish
and a stronger person who is clearned from past traumas emerges, a
beautiful butterfly which has gone through its dramatic
metamorphoses.
